February
It's been cold....really cold. This is the view from our sun room (when there is sun) and these photos were after last week's big snow storm. We've experienced a bit of cabin fever and have had to have a lot of playtime on the carpet instead of outside in the elements. Fortunately, the last three days have been really nice and sunny and the snow's melted. Clara finally had her first few walks outside and was amazed by the blue sky and sound of birds. Spring's coming???? Posted by Picasa

Our little Cupid brought us many loving moments this "holiday". Nicest Valentine's Day ever. Posted by Picasa

Happy Birthday Pat!
We celebrated Pat's 33rd birthday by actually leaving the house and venturing over to Shannon's for dinner, where many friends were waiting to toast the birthday boy. Posted by Picasa

The First Month
We survived our first month of parenthood, but not without a few bumps along the way. I got the stomach flu and Patrick shared the fever and chills our second week home. Fortunately, Pat's mom (Nonna) flew in just in time to save us and to gleefully love on Clara while we recovered. Pat's dad arrived four days later and we finally got back on our feet just before they had to leave.

Wish we could show you pictures of a first walk in the park, or of Clara against the background of Lake Michigan while we gaze at her adoringly, but Chicago has endured ridiculously cold weather since the day she was born. We can wait.

Clara continues to amaze and delight us. She's already gained two pounds (working on three) and is getting some "delicious chub". She still cries only when something needs to be fixed, and we are only too happy to do her bidding. Here are a few photos of our amazing growing girl.... Posted by Picasa

It's Hard Work to be photographed so much.

Clara is ever patient with her camera happy mother...frankly, it makes her very tired. Posted by Picasa
